Agricultural biodomes and cultivated fields beneath an alien world
INTERSTELLAR FARMERS ASSOCIATION // ORGANISATION BRIEFING

THE FUTURE
MUST BE CULTIVATED.

For those who look across the settled systems and see more than planets, ships and markets. We see soil waiting to be understood, environments waiting to be controlled and harvests that will decide which settlements endure.

THE IFA MANDATE

A WORLD IS NOT SETTLED
WHEN THE FLAG IS PLANTED.

It is settled when its people can remain.

Every lasting settlement depends upon agriculture: food, biological materials, cultivated resources, storage, transport and the knowledge required to make an unfamiliar environment productive.

That is what fascinates us about farming in Star Citizen. CIG has described seeds, soil, nutrients, environmental suitability, hydroponics, rare plant varieties, controlled Biodomes and agriculture embedded in a wider industrial economy. These are not background details. Together, they point toward a profession built from science, logistics, exploration and production.

IFA exists to understand that profession before its first complete harvest—and to operate it when the systems come online.

TWO AGRICULTURAL FRONTIERS

THE FARM MOVES.
THE FARM TAKES ROOT.

IFA is preparing for agriculture both in space and on the ground. The systems are different. The objective is the same: controlled, repeatable production wherever humanity intends to stay.

01 // MOBILE CULTIVATION

THE ENDEAVOR

The Olympic-class Endeavor represents one of Star Citizen’s most ambitious agricultural concepts: four controlled farming environments carried aboard a modular science vessel.

For IFA, the Biodomes are more than greenhouses. They are mobile production environments—capable, in CIG’s original design, of pursuing valuable crops, biological materials and agricultural opportunities beyond the limits of a single world.

02 // PLANETARY CULTIVATION

PLANETSIDE

Planetary farming begins with location. Temperature, soil, nutrients, water availability and plant viability can turn one piece of land into an agricultural asset while leaving another unproductive.

IFA plans to establish and operate farms within the future settlement economy—from environmentally dependent low-tech cultivation to specialised high-tech hydroponic production.

WHY AGRICULTURE

THE MOST IMPORTANT PROFESSION
IS THE ONE EVERY OTHER PROFESSION NEEDS.

Miners extract. Haulers move. Manufacturers build. Settlements consume. Agriculture connects environment, biology, labour and logistics to the continued existence of everything around it.

We are drawn to the unanswered questions: which crops thrive under which conditions, how rare strains will be obtained, what high-tech hydroponics will control, how harvests will enter production chains, and what advantages a mobile Biodome will hold over a permanent planetary farm.

Until those systems are complete, IFA researches the published material, tracks changes in development and builds a coherent agricultural knowledge base. When farming becomes operational, we intend to arrive informed, organised and ready to scale.

FUTURE RECRUITMENT PROFILE

THE HARVEST WILL REQUIRE
MORE THAN FARMERS.

Recruitment is not currently open. IFA intends to begin accepting applications as Star Citizen’s farming systems move closer to implementation as a playable game loop. When that time comes, we will be looking beyond cultivation alone—to exploration, science, logistics, hauling, construction, resource management, trade and the protection of distant operations.

IFA REFERENCE STANDARD

WE BUILD FROM WHAT IS KNOWN.

Star Citizen farming is still developing. IFA separates implemented systems, confirmed modern design, historical CIG intent and our own analysis so that members can see where the evidence ends.

Original IFA programmes—including Agriform™, Adapta™ and Project Titan—belong to our organization’s in-universe research lore. They expand the presentation without being passed off as official Star Citizen material.

IFA
RECRUITMENT // NOT YET OPEN

THE ORGANISATION
IS PREPARING.

IFA is currently building the knowledge, operational doctrine and agricultural reference base required for the farming game loop. Recruitment will open closer to implementation. Until then, our RSI organisation page remains available for those following the programme.
