A field that continues beyond the horizon demands a different kind of harvest.
Long after the Titan X01 Terra-Planter has disappeared beyond the horizon, the landscape it created has changed. The soil has been worked. The seed has taken root. Across immense stretches of previously undeveloped terrain, a new agricultural landscape has matured.
Then the second machine arrives. The Titan TC01 Terra-Combine is the harvesting element of The Titan Project, a capital-class agricultural machine designed to follow the cultivated corridors established by the X01 and recover their yield without breaking the rhythm of the planetary operation.
Where the Terra-Planter turns terrain into agriculture, the Terra-Combine turns agriculture into supply.
WHEN THE HORIZON IS READY
The TC01 does not move from one isolated field to the next. It follows the agricultural landscape as a continuous industrial front.
Following the routes established by the Terra-Planter, the machine advances continuously through mature agricultural territory, gathering the crops and fungi cultivated during the preceding growing cycles.
At this scale, harvesting cannot be treated as a single operation.
What enters the TC01 must be gathered, separated, processed and prepared for transport while the machine continues its advance. The Terra-Combine therefore functions as both harvester and moving processing industry, absorbing an agricultural landscape at one end and producing a continuous stream of usable agricultural output at the other.
There is no conventional grain tank waiting to be filled and no routine pause each time the machine reaches capacity. Project Titan depends upon the harvest moving while the machine moves.
A FACTORY ACROSS THE FIELD
The extraordinary physical scale of the TC01 is a consequence of what happens inside it.
Harvesting systems stretch across a vast working front, feeding an internal processing chain built for uninterrupted operation. Agricultural material moves through the machine while unwanted material is separated and the valuable crop is prepared for export.
Supporting this process requires engineering far beyond conventional agricultural machinery. Like its Terra-Planter counterpart, the TC01 belongs firmly within the capital class. Its structural programme is led by Crusader Industries, while Argo Astronautics supplies the internal handling architecture that carries material from the harvesting front to the orbital-transfer interface. Capital-class power, cooling and shielding sustain the machine as that process continues without interruption.
The result is agricultural machinery in purpose and a moving industrial complex in scale: a harvest factory that never stopped being a combine.
FROM HARVEST TO ORBIT
Producing a planetary harvest creates another problem: it has to leave the field without forcing the machine to stop.
No conventional fleet of trailers could realistically service a machine operating at the scale of the Terra-Combine. Stopping the TC01 for unloading would defeat the principle upon which the entire system is built.
IFA therefore removed the conventional field logistics chain altogether.
As processed agricultural products emerge from the Terra-Combine, large uncrewed cargo lifters collect them directly from the moving operation. The lifters carry the harvest away from the surface and into orbit while the TC01 continues working below.
Above the operation waits the final link: a rotating group of specially modified MISC Hull E superfreighters, receiving the planetary harvest and carrying it into the wider interplanetary supply network.
Field transport has become orbital logistics.
The distance between the cutting edge of a combine and an interstellar freighter has become a single continuous supply chain.
THE SECOND PASS
The Titan TC01 exists because of what came before it.
Months earlier, the X01 crossed the same ground.
It forced its way across the landscape, removed stone, worked the soil, cultivated, fertilised and planted. Then it continued towards the horizon and left biology to perform the one part of Project Titan that cannot be manufactured.
Growth.
The TC01 is what returns when that work is complete.
It follows the agricultural geography created by its sister machine, gathering the enormous biological yield of the territory and sending it upward into the waiting logistics network.
Behind the Terra-Planter lies possibility.
Behind the Terra-Combine lies a harvested world.
Together, they transform planetary agriculture into a continuous cycle of cultivation, growth, harvest and export.
The X01 prepares the world; the world grows; and the TC01 returns beneath a sky already crowded with departing freighters. In Project Titan, the harvest no longer ends at the edge of the field.
